Budget Workshop Dates
The Lindenhurst Union Free School District’s Board of Education is inviting all residents to attend this year’s budget workshops. All workshops will be held at the McKenna Administration Building, 350 Daniel Street, at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, February 29 - Budget Overview, Community Input Night
Tuesday, March 6 - Buildings and Grounds, Special Education, Transportation
Wednesday, March 14 - Building Budgets (supplies, equipment, textbooks) Technology, Athletics
Monday, March 19 - Personnel: Instructional and Non-Instructional
Tuesday, March 27 - Finalize 2012-2013 Budget
Wednesday, April 4 - Board of Education Business Meeting and Budget Adoption
The district’s annual budget vote will take place Tuesday, May 15, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Albany Avenue, Alleghany Avenue, Daniel Street, Harding Avenue and William Rall Elementary Schools. This is an important vote for the future of our schools.
SCSSA Tax Cap Survey
The Suffolk County School Superintedent’s Association (SCSSA) is conducting a survey on the Tax Cap. The survey has been designed to allow easy access to all community members interested in sharing views on this critical issue. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Lindenhurst Council of PTA's Comedy Night
Please join the Lindenhurst Council of PTAs for an evening of fun and laughter at the 3rd Annual Comedy Show at Governors Comedy Club in Levittown on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 8PM. The evening will also offer raffle baskets, chinese auction items and a 50/50.

Kindergarten Registration
The Lindenhurst School District will be holding registration for all eligible kindergarten students February 1st through February 16th, 2012. Registration takes place at the McKenna Administration Building, 350 Daniel Street. In accordance with established policy of the Lindenhurst School District, children must be five (5) years of age on or before December 1st, 2012, in order to be enrolled in kindergarten for the coming year.
Registration packets must be presented at the time of registration along with all required documentation. Please complete the packet in its entirety, any incomplete registrations and failure to provide the proper documents will delay your child’s registration and will result in having to return to the office a second time to complete the registration. Packets are available in the lobby of the McKenna Administration Building and at all District elementary schools.
Please follow the schedule listed below. If you are not sure which school your child will be attending contact the Central Registration Office at 631-867-3055.
ALBANY February 1 & 8 8:00am-12:30pm
ALLEGHANY February 2 & 9 8:00am-12:30pm

HARDING February 6 & 13 8:00am-12:30pm

In addition to the above times and dates there will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY two evening registrations on Wednesday, February 8th and 15th from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Time slots for appointments are limited and will be filled as appointments are made. Appointments can be scheduled for these evening dates by calling the Central Registration Office after January 3, 2012.
